SO YES, this is Ambiguous the shapeshifter. Yet another of my seemingly endless characters. It (no gender) plays a big role in my story. . .But you won't know it. Can't tell you nothin' bout its background, but I will say that Ambiggi's a stealthy, sarcastic sonovagun, with a clever mind.

And, um, I feel my shapeshifter species needs a bit of explaining. . .DOCUMENTARY STYLE. "Shapeshifters, of course, hold the ability to morph into any living thing at any time, but there's one condition: It must have the soul of the desired form. Souls are gathered using its many tentacles, and remain in the tentacles forever more. (They're the blue orbs) There are no reprecussions, and the souls can actually save a shifter's life, if used as a voucher for their own sould when death is near. Thus, shifter's are near impossible to kill. And that's not even considering it's other abilities, such as extreme stealth and strength and the ability to walk on walls. (Sticky gecko feet!) Truly, it is a fearsome beast. Its only faults are its lack of sight and lack of emotion and compassion, which can cause trouble if it's trying to pretend to be someone else, which is often, of course. . .
